Good Day!

My name is Martt Mario, I am with the US Army and I am serving in the 1st Armoured Division in Iraq. Me and my partner discovered and moved funds belonging to Saddam Hussein.

The total is $25,000,000.00 (Twenty Five million US dollars) this money is being kept safe in the security company in Lom�-Togo. Click on this link to read about events that took place here.

Basically since we are working for the American government we cannot keep these funds so we want to transfer the funds to you, so that you can keep it for us in your safe account until after our service.

We will divide the total fund this way, 80% for me and my partner while 15% will be for you and the other 5% will be set aside for any expenses that might be incurred.

The Iraq booty one pops up quite frequently.

You'll find he's as straighforward to bait as many other 419 stuff, only more fun if anything. You'll get some pretty freaky ID cards, and some really laughable forces stuff like made up military ranks. Obviously give him lots of praise on that front.

I did one once where the lad was a Staff Sergeant, a Lieutenant and a Captain all at once.

It reminded me of:

Some people take this type of scam very personally indeed..... I see it as no worse or better than many other scams.

After a while, you'll realize that this email, and variations of it, are very common. If you look in the surplus letters forum, you'll see many more like it.
You might want to start out baiting straight for a while and learn a bit before you tackle a safari. . . just a thought. Wink

If you keep the lad on the hook for a while, a safari isn't out of the question. Might be hard to get a supposed soldier stationed in Iraq to be able to head to an African country, though.

I think that 15% is not enough for me, though... Do you reckon it will take too much to get a 40%?

^^ No need to work too hard on that, you don't want to spook him.

Go ahead and ask, he'll probably offer another 5% if you haggle.

This always makes me laugh. He'll haggle and argue over 5% of something that doesn't exist, to the point that he'll even drop you if you protest too much.
That's how stupid some scammers can be. Confused

I guess that's because, somehow, they end up believing, to a certain measure, their own stories. Or maybe they're being taught dramatics by some Stalivnasky (sp?) follower.

Hey did anyone notice his spelling of armored if i remember right Armoured is not the way we spell it here Armoured with "our" tells me hes not from around these here parts

His IP address will tell you he's in Togo. He won't know the difference between a Captain and a Sergeant. His ID will look like something in a GI Joe set. He will claim to be both a US marine and a Navy Seal at the same time.

There are many pointers. His spelling of "Armour / Armor" is the least of these! Wink

I think some lads think that if you're gonna haggle about percentages you're gonna be hell as soon as they try to make you pay unexpected fees.
They rather have the people that don't haggle, not even on their cars. *I've heard there are people out their that pay showroom price*

My Iraqi funds guy was a US Marine Captain (who offered me 14% of the $7.2 million) and the scam was based in Ghana. It ended up with the Lad and my baiter character's brother, an SAS Captain, swapping threats; it also gave me one of my sig lines.

I'm really angry now. Probably the guy offered less cause he thought that me being a girl he could get away with it. I will teach him a lesson.
