Looks like S1mba Safari Camps is about to have a new customer!

Forgive the long post but I need to set the stage for the excitement that is coming. This is a very new bait but it's turning into a fun one. @Juan - If you can get him to Email me with his full name, booking reference and date of travel, I'll get him issued with an E-ticket for the shuttle bus.

In the meantime, if I were you, I would also get myself a flight ticket for Niamey in Niger, as this is actually much closer to the 5imba Camp and will be far more convenient for you to be collected from.... Wink

@Simba, I think when I fail to arrive at the airport, and the shuttle also fails to show up, Bernie Rhodes could send my lad an email apologizing for the breakdown in the van, and suggest he (or rather "we," since you wouldn't know I didn't arrive) take a hotel room for the night, which of course you'll reimburse.

I think maybe I'll be held for questioning by the police during my layover in Paris, they suspect terrorism because I'm carrying an illegal amount of cash. Then I can rebook my flight to arrive in Niamey since that's closer to the camp. Since the van is out of service for a couple of days, my lad can take private transportation to Niger where we'll arrange to finally meet.

What do you think?

EDIT: I just checked, I can't get a flight to Niamey on Monday, but there is an Air France flight Tuesday morning. That will give my lad plenty of time to get there.

Yippee, another S1mba Safar1! It's been a bit slow in S1mba-land ever since Doc's and my safaris ended. Time to pop the popcorn!

I gotta say I just love the horny widow modality. It offers SO many options, opportunities for fun, and explanations for the bizarre kind of behaviors necessary to make these safaris work. @Juan - As I was saying, the 5imba Camp is located in the far North West of Benin, in that National Park that begins with the letter "P" and borders Burkina.

I am absolutely in agreement that you miss your flight to Cotonou, the shuttle bus breaks down, and we keep him waiting overnight.

If you can catch an alternative flight to Niamey, that would be great, and if he isn't prepared to meet you at that airport, I will suggest that he takes a bush taxi to either Naitatingou or Parakou and we will send a jeep to collect him from there.

Of course, it goes without saying that 5imba safari will reimburse ALL hotel and travel expenses incurred by the mugu.... Very Happy

I realized yesterday I had made a dumb tactical error. I don't know why I told my lad I was going to travel next weekend. That means I have to keep pumping him up all week, and for that I have to keep sending him pron. puke

So I emailed him to say that I was so excited about the trip that I rescheduled my flight to go earlier. Alas there aren't any flights to Cotonou on Wednesday. I'm "leaving" Thursday now, arriving in Benin Friday night. He has agreed to meet me then, so he's traveling a couple of days earlier than originally planned.

I had only a peculiarly brief email from the lad today. He didn't answer any of my questions, such as the name of his friend and what present I should bring for the friend... But he did once again confirm he plans to be there:
