I was at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany in October. While I was there I spoke with a gentleman from the U.S. During our conversation he told me he was coming home from the Ukraine. He told me was engaged to a girl who lived in the Ukraine. He had been there visiting her. He told me that since they had been "engaged" he had been sending her $300. a month. When he got to her place he spent nearly $1200 on her and her child. He told me that he now was going to be sending $800 a month to her for medical care for her sick daughter until mom and daughter could come to the states. He stated that why he was in the Ukraine they had sex several times and she was showing him the country. He was supposed to be there 2 weeks and after 1 week she had to leave and go to her grandmother's place because the old lady was in bad health. He couldn't go with her to granny's house because her family would not approve of his being there during granny's last days because he wasn't family yet. The fiance' was supposed to accompany him back to the states because he had sent her over $1000 to take care of the paperwork for her and her daughter. Since granny was now sick she couldn't come to the states and she would have to wait until granny was pushing daisies.

I asked him if he ever thought she could be scamming him and he said no. He said if she was scamming him that she wouldn't have allowed him to go to the Ukraine and she definately would not have sex with him. I kinda figured if she knew he would up the ante then giving him some would be a small price to pay.

To me this has scam written all over it in BIG BOLD LETTERS , but I did wonder if his argument had any truth to it. I hope I planted enough of a seed of doubt to at least make him think about it. I really doubt I did though, this guy actually seemed like he was totally in love with this girl and he'll believe whatever she says over some guy he met in an airport.

What do you guys think? Would she really allow him to fly to her country and give him some if she was scamming him?

Well, I think it's hard to tell.
I'd actually say in this case it might be for real. Did he stay at her place or in a hotel? If he stayed in her place I'd say it might really be real, because he has the real address and could go after her if she suddenly disappears.

But as said, it's hard to tell. There might be scammers that are so "sophisticated" to go all this way to make the victim pay more money...

There are many girls in Russia and Ukraine who would do anything for a chance at a better life, somebody to get them out of there and pay their way to do it, she may well love him and have full intentions of living with him once things are sorted out at home.

I dont think that is the case this time but we will never know.

The best we can do here is hope and bait them more just in case.

@root: he did say he stayed at her home. I just figured scam because she left him after a week and came up with the BS story of the family thing, but I don't know ukrainian ways of life. After I went thru 42 pages of this forum it sounds like she was a Pro-Dater.

@rolex1 I tend to believe scam, too, but it could be true. One easy way to tell is to have the victim email the love interest from a different addie, different character, and see how she responds to the new character. I helped stop one guy I knew from falling for this, when i convinced him to send her another, "Hi! I'd like to be your friend" letter. He saw it right away, and dumped her.

Sounds like a 'pro dater' to me. Essentially a scammer/prostitute with some variables. Some never sleep with the man. Poor guy shows up, spends money on her, maybe gets a peck on the cheek while cousin 'Boris' glares in the background.

These types range from married women needing extra money to young gals just looking for a fancier lifestyle.

Chances are 'granny' was actually her next victim. "Melvin from Baltimore" was arriving at the airport bearing gifts, and a credit card that was maxxed out, yet.....

The busier ones will have one man arrive a week. Some screw the hell out of them. Others may only spend an hour or two a day with the guy....and he's lucky to cop a feel of a kneecap.

The tough thing is working with 'victims' of these 'pro daters'.

One man will be seeking true love, not happy with what happens in the Ukraine or Russia, realizes the nature of the lady, then reports her.

Other victims show up, with varying amounts of rage or confusion about the process. Sometimes they will network and figure it out.

INVARIABLY.....either ONE victim stupdily tells Tanya "YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON THE INTERNET AND I WILL SEE YOU IN PRISON AND I WANT THE BEANY BABY I GAVE YOU BACK YOU WORTHLES #@@@*##"
and points to the thead on her at RD or RS...... or the vlad has googled and finds her name on the 'net.

A new 'friend' shows up, claims the girl is loving, real, and all the above men only came to see her to beat her, strangle her cat, have sex, steal from her purse, make porn movies....etc.

"THIS IS A REAL LADY LOOKING ONLY FOR LOVE AND I AM HONORED TO HAVE HER AS MY FRIEND!!!!"

crap crap crap

But not the money or gifts.......

I have even talked to one victim who was angry at the girl, realized what she was....but was thinking about going back since it was the best sex he had!!!!!!

SO........once we get conflicting reports on 'the lady', and the original posters don't respond to defend, sometimes the reports are pulled on these ladies.

Annoying!!!!!!! You hate to see reports on the pro daters show up.

You can't bait them. The only way to verify them is to show up and get screwed...one way or the other.

And yes...some of these ladies that actually sleep with you have some nice diseases.
