Former lawyer, now in property management AKA Evil Bastard Heartless Landlord.

When not being an EBHL I'm trying keeping myself alive a bit longer after years of over indulgence (cf lawyer) by swimming (I used to compete too - seems to be a theme around here) and a bit of a gym junkie. I offset this by cooking (Indian curries a speciality) and a bit of a wine ponce. A compulsive reader, especially biography, real crime and history and I love sailing, skiing and sometimes scuba diving. Quite the action hero eh? (if only you knew..... Cool

I'm a subeditor and proofreader. I used to work for a big daily paper, which wasn't actually all that cool. I want to take a Masters in Computer Science and do something like SQL or ASP, so I'm looking for work shadowing spots while doing my full-time editing work.

@Miss Behaving:
If you wanna do anything labelled ASP then I suggest to go for ASP.NET.
Classic ASP is not developed anymore and has hardly any features built-in. PHP would be a much better thing compared to classic ASP.

I do a lot of PHP, comes with the job of being a web-developer, and I pretty much like it. In my previous job I also had to deal with classic ASP, and I really don't like it; although the language is quite easy.

Re-read most of Dune - didn't think much of the 'prequels' & have never got past God Emperor. The stories seemed to get bogged down in planetary politics.

Terry Pratchett is one of my top favorite authors of all time. I keep re-reading his Discwork books on a regular basis.

It's so sad he has Alzheimer's. Well, it's sad that anybody has Alzheimer's, but you know what I mean.

Aye, Terry Pratchett is one of my favourites....my mum has the same type of Alzheimers (a rare form of it), she's just turned 60 and is in the last stages of the disease, it really breaks my heart.
