Had the electric carver pack up today.
Reminded of last time it happened, cut myself with a carver, when it slipped.
Finished up at the hospital, being stitched up by a evil female staff nurse.
Who just happened to be my second cousin, Jeanette. |

Not a disaster as such, but I woke up this morning with a damn toothache in the back tooth in the lower jaw, the pain has been gradually getting worse throughout the day, I can only eat on one side of my mouth, any time something touches the bit of tooth that is left sticking above the gumline, it's f*#king agony , been lieing down since 7:30pm (2 hours ago) trying to forget about he pain, fell asleep and just woke myself up by being sick in my sleep, dreading tonight |

The bottom of the Beef Wellington got a little soggy from the juices.
Apart from that it's gone swimmingly. |

No disasters as of yet.
But in anticipation, I can tell you that I'm well drunk and will probably piss the bed tonight.
It'll be a massive fucking disaster when the wife wakes up in the wet patch. |

Well, on my birthday, something disastrous always had to happen. For my 16th birthday, I was hoping that someone would give me a gag gift of fake car keys since that was the year I could start driving, but I got six watches instead from six different people! I don't know if that could be considered as disaster.
However, I'm driving down to the US, so I'm sure that there's going to be some sort of disaster at the border waiting to happen with me! |

My grandma died.
One aunt passed out and hit her head on the cement - knocked herself out cold...
An uncle had a seizure.
Another aunt and I fell at separate times and both sprained our ankles.
All the above happened within 15 minutes and whoever called 911 said we had "hostages" instead of "hospice" (for my grandma). So a whole swat team shows up and asks if we are all drunk and if this was one hell of a Christmas celebration gone wrong. There had been a call before that saying there was an altercation and someone needed to be escorted off ....so when they got the next call 5 minutes later - they had to be thinking "oh shit"
The next night my dad was having chest pains and had to go to the ER - he's ok - he had low potassium.
We buried my grandma yesterday (Christmas Eve)
Oh and today my cousin was eating some deer meat and found something hard in it - - it was buck shot! LOL Someone must have shot the deer before my kid did!!!!
So things can't get worse. |

Wow, Eliza, sorry to hear. Makes mine seem not so bad now...
I seemed to have pulled a muscle in my right arm, either the triceps or right above it. Hurts like a b*tch, arm motion is very limited for 2nd day. Still good enough to taunt the lads with promises of riches though. Hoping another day or two and I can get back into weight lifting. |

Everyone in my family has been ghastly seek during this past week leading up to Christmas, starting with me. So I ended up being the only one who could eat solid food on Christmas. Whatever we all caught, it's the gift that keeps on giving.
BTW, sorry to here all that Eliza. All the grandparent stuff happened to us earlier this year so I know how crummy it is. Don't you hate when people try to empathize about these sort of things? |

Everyone at the Christmas lunch I went to got completely snockered, nobody was in a fit state to give me a lift home, so I had to walk 13km home.
That would have been okay except I had already walked the 13km to the restaurant in the morning.
The dogs are barking today.... |

Not really a disaster but kinda gross - I went to my boss's house for a cpl hours and her 5 year old son came up to me and asked if I wanted a peanut. I said yes, he gave me one, I ate it. He repeated this a few times before I realized he was picking up a salted peanut from a dish, sticking it in his mouth to get all the salt from it, then giving it to me. |

Reprob8, that totally reminded me of a story that has become legendary in my family. We had stopped someplace and bought hamburgers. My younger sister (who was very young at the time) hated pickles, and my mom loves them, so my sister offers my mom her pickle. My mom agrees, takes it, and puts it in her mouth. My sister then says, "oh, if it's a little wet, it's only because it was in my mouth." My mom freaked out. It is now practically blasphemy in my family to offer someone food without warning them that if it's wet, it's only because it was in your mouth. |

Well, I THOUGHT I was going to have a disaster-free holiday season, this morning changed all that - took my BMW 325 IX out for a little spin, been having some electrical issues lately with it... nothing major - or so it seemed, I heard a lil pop, then another, next thing I know that car is filling up with smoke, I bailed out - just lost some hair - but the car is...toast:

My windows XP wouldn't work. That was about it really. It's fixed now. Not much of a story there...

But even more so than before - it was like me with a hangover. Capable of nothing more than making an apperance, then not doing anything remotely useful

Ouch, Flush, that is a HOT car! Er, sorry, had to say it!
A little duct tape and she'd look road worthy once more!
Hell, you could use it to your advantage. Tell a lad he won a beamer via ASEM and when your shipping company was delivering it to him, BAM a terrible accident happened! And he gets the insurance payment! |

@SP for toothache if its like 3am when the pain begins then the best stuff to use is a clove of garlic - or some onion if you havent any garlic.
(It acts as a disinfectant, it wont fully stop the pain only a visit to the dentist can do that, but it will help reduce the pain enough to at least get through till you can see a dentist.)
Garlic and onion stinks - but surprisingly it works better than mouthwash - and if thats all you have you can use mouthwash too but it wont kill as much pain.
Then you can be one step closer to cyborg - the dentist might do a root canal and give you a metal tooth like they did to me - i smelt of garlic for 3 whole days later - but me tooth wasnt bothering me much |
