I can be the first to admit that the year 2007 has been pretty bad. Hopefully, I can assume that nothing else notable (i.e. "bad luck") can happen anymore being that it is this close to the end of the year....but then again I have been wrong on more than one occasion.

Use this thread to recap your good or bad experiences for 2007.

1. Brother killed in auto accident
2. 2 friends/co-workers killed in shootout
3. Being sued the 1st time
4. Major surgery to repair neck ( having doubts now whether it was
successful )
5. Mother diagnosed with breast cancer (radical masectomy, used the
last 6 weeks of my recovery period to take care of her)
6. Younger sister possibly being diagnosed with cancer...they are still
testing on this one. Father and both Grandfathers died of cancer,
now mother and sister...want to guess who will probably be next?
7. Second lawsuit of the year, being sued by 6 illegal immigrants for
violation of their civil rights, use of excessive force, illegal search
and seizure and several other charges I can't recall at this time.
Fun part about this one, I have absolutely no idea who these
people are. The incident took place well outside of my jurisdiction.
8. Found out that my Administration never filed my Workmans Comp
paperwork. The battle has yet to really get kicked off on this one.

I'm also really sorry to hear all this. What a crappy year.

My year actually wasn't that bad, started off great, then went back to mediocre, and finally got better again. Next year's gonna have another highlight, and then let's see how it goes.

Wow and I thought my year was bad at:

1) Losing my job (was hired on at another place a few months later)
2) Girlfriend leaving me
3) Having to send Notebook PC back 3 times for repair

I do wish for a better 2008 for you and rest of everyone too

Sorry to hear about the bad years -- I had a pretty good one this time around: buying a flat at a sort of reasonable price (for the area), finding out it was actually very nice to live in, and then reaching an important career milestone (last hurdle before the really big one).

Sorry to hear about the bad years for everyone, I feel guilty about posting how my year went, but here it goes. If you're not interested in reading about a 20 year old's very interesting year, just skip it. Don't say I didn't warn you!

1. Started off by actually doing well in uni (3.7-4.0 GPA)
2. Finished my exams and went on a diet
3. Went to Europe and lost more weight and had the time of my life!
4. F1 season - 'nuff said!
5. Started new year in uni living alone, but it was only temporary.
6. Finished my exams early.

@Chief, I think your year was worse than mine. Chin up, mate.

The 18 or so months prior to my Alzheimer's afflicted dad being admitted to a nursing home kinda sucked Sad

Its small wonder that I have not seen very much activity of this board by you Chief. I'm not going to spout some psychobabble about looking between the cracks in the concrete for flowers. It really does sound like this past year sucked for you. I can only offer my condolences and hope that this next year goes better.

Mine wasn't that bad, ex finally diagnised with Bi-polar and paranoid delusions, too bad it was after she got the court orders and exclusion documents filed because I was stalking her and attempting to clean out her bank account

Oh, and making threats against her to her friends and neighbours

4 different jobs so far this year, and the one I've been after for a year, has now been held over till next March till the new financial year starts

Sorry to hear of your troubles this year Chief. Here's to hoping that 2008 is a good year for you!

My year: Birth of my daughter in February, who joined her four year old brother. Hence, the rest is a blur. Laughing

And, oh yeah, I joined here in May!

I just got back from school, and I just looked over Chief's post, and I have to say that I looked it over. Sorry to see your year being terrible, and sorry that I kind of sounded like a dolt Embarassed

I really hope 08 goes better for you chief. 07 wasn't the easiest of years for me either. Some of you know and some of you don't that my wife was taken ill earlier this year. We were told this week that the treatment's going to take at least another year. Through everything though, this site and being able to vent my frustrations on lads helped keep me going no matter how tough it got.

Chief, sorry such a bad year. Here's to 2008 being brighter.

I lost my Grandmother this year and it truly hurt. Though, because of the Alzheimers, her death probably came about two years to late. It will be the first time in 37 years that there will be no grandparents at my house for Christmas. Crying or Very sad

My Moms announcement of the MD's finding cancer in her last breast. Two months later, her masectomy and the recovery that is taking place.

The woman I love has drug me through her meat grinder a couple times this year and left again.

I protect people, it's what I do, it's who I am. I havn't been able to do much good this year. 2007 felt like I was standing naked in front of 10000 people . . . very uncomfortable.
