Not that I think anyone will put out an APB for me if I don't log in for a few days, but I won't be checking in for a while.
My brother passed away earlier today, and we'll be busy making arrangements and such for a few days.
I think I'm going to drown my sorrows in some Terry Pratchett and allow the funny to get me through some bad times. Three of my most enjoyable phone conversations this year were some incredibly long, giggly, rambling sessions where my brother and I quoted Pratchett books at one another after I managed to hook him on them. At the time, he was mostly house-ridden with an extended serious illness. When I finally get around to reading Making Money, the only DW novel I've yet to read, I'll be mourning the loss of someone to quote it at while giggling.
I had just lent him Small Gods a few weeks ago. Now I'll never be able to read the ending without tears. I shed a few the first time. |

Just reading this made me shed a tear, not because I did put out an APB when I thought you didn't make it to the shelter but because I could not even imagine what you are going through. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. |
