I feel like really lousy today ... head full of cotton and sore throat.
So I'm just going to call in sick at work today ...
I'm sure they're not going to like it, but then again ... I've always been at work so far (whether I had a bad cold or not).
Don't mind me ... I'm just off ... going to sit on the sofa looking like a little rabbit (totally cuddled up and everything). |

Massive doses of vitamin C. At the first sign of a cold starting. 2500mg of C every hour for 3 hours. 2000 or 3000 every hour after that. You can take it more often if you want. You will know when to stop. You can start with more but not less. The closer you are to the cold starting, the more you should take at the start, then back off. |

Great idea ... just too bad that I'd have to go out to the supermarket around the corner or the pharmacy in the town centre to get all the vitamin C ...
Do Multi Vitamin tablets count too?

Hmmm .... didn't think about that yet.
Good thing is that I'm planning on going to my parents place tomorrow ....
I was planning on going anyway and now I've got one very good reason to take a hot bath and lots of hot tea with honey in it.
I'm so into getting pampered for the weekend ... Having a sore throat sure s*cks.
Now if you'll excuse me ... I'm going into the kitchen to see if there is anything nice I can prepare and actually eat tonight (looks like it's going to be a pasta dinner for me today). |

If you've got the nasty bug that's going round prepare yourself for 7-10 days of misery, sniffing, sneezing, vomiting, diarhr,, ermm diarr, the sh*ts, hot and cold flushes, lost of taste (you'll be wearing plaid for a week) and a loss of appetite.

I can stop a cold in 12 hours if I start "C" before the runny nose starts. A few days if I miss the that time zone. |
