I'm having problems with someone selling fake items on ebay. Ebay ofcourse have no interest in the matter. What do they care they are getting the fees?
I've got the sellers username and email 'hotmail' address. I have thought about going to an internet cafe and setting up 2 gmails and two ebay accounts and then waiting until the very end, so that he can't cancel the bids, and go massive on the the item with both accounts. This will incur big fees and stop an unsuspecting bidder ending up with the item?
Is it that easy to set up an ebay account?
any drawbacks if I'm careful and use an untraceable internet cafe?
you thoughts will be gladly received!

If you go to the ebay site, there is a forum in the community section.
Put your complaint there and there is bound to be someone there who will be able to deal with it for you. |

eBay are usually hot on these type of things. There is a way to flag an item and I have always seen it removed. |

Last time I set up,three fake accounts on EBay, it was simple. I blitzed the offender and finally forced him off line on Ebay. You don't need a Credit Card in Australia, but you need an actlve phone line which they ring to confirm your details.
I do not know if Ebay check the phone numbers against your own, but I just say I am using a friend's phone.
I wouldn't recommend this as a regular practice as your fake characters get neg feedback.
Ebay are not diligent on having accurate customer records. |
