Hi

I'm new to this forum and want to kick some ass too on those scammers. I was thinking: why not subscribe their emailaddresses to lots of corrupt websites (porn, sales whatever) so they get a lot of spam.

This will produce load for both spammers as scammers, as they have to send, respectively read more mails.

Does anyone know if some site or lsit exist to efficiently add an address to a lot of spammers's lists at once? Would this not be a great idea?

your doing a great job

What do you do when you get lots of spam in your email account?

Personally, I delete it.

Why wouldn't a lad do the same thing?

that's true, but my spam filter filters a lot of thee scam mails. I suppose our replies would be marked as spam for them too as they contain the same content. Maybe this makes it a little harder to control their email boxes?

Second point i thought of, is that they maybe have automatic systems for sending scam, and if the spammers email addresses are added to their list once they receive a spam mail, this might add some extra load on their mass mail systems as well..

just trying to be creative though Smile

Firstly, I have removed the 2 posts with the url to spamming list links, and the quoted reply with the spamming list url, we don't spam, it's pointless, there is enough spam floating round the net without sending it to lads and clogging up servers with even more crap!

Secondly, we deal with scammers, not spammers, they are not the same thing, sending a scammer spam, will not do a thing to slow him down, he will just look down the list of mails in his inbox and will recognise the subject headings, which will mostly be to do with his scam, they know what Viagra and other spam is, so like TSnerd said above, they just hit delete like we do, and that's if it even ends up in their inbox, more likely straight in their bulk folder.

We used to think spamming the scammers was a helpful thing.

We've grown out of that in the meantime.

Live and learn.

Hey there joske, and welcome to the Eater.

I asked that same question when I joined up too, so don't feel bad. Theoretically, anything that annoys the lads is good, right? Therefore your suggestion, on the surface, would be a good idea.

The thing is, these guys are in the spamming business. Not only do they employ thrower and catcher accounts by the dozen, but they change these accounts more often than some of us (no names mentioned) change our undies. If a lad received too much spam in one of his boxes, he'd just close that one down (earlier than he otherwise would have) and move on to the next one. I'm sure that some lads receive as many member-enlargement and pirate-software offers as we do anyway. I like to think that at least one of them has been scammed with fake Viagra.

As you look around the forums and stickies, and mostly as you converse with fellow members, you'll find countless new ways to really cause the lads pain and anguish.

Even if some of your suggestions are seemingly shot down when you forward them, I say by all means keep them coming! I'm sure all of the special tools and modalities used here started as a "what if". In fact, if somebody hadn't said "I wonder if I can string this guy along for a while", our noble sport of baiting may not exist! Just don't bring up cash-baiting and you'll be fine. Very Happy

It is an emotional thing. Long ago [Cue Sounds of Winter Winds Blowing through the Still, Bare Trees--Ed.], when I first received spam, I wanted to "get even." Send them spam.

Pointless. Does not work. In fact, it gets you more spam! If you are dealing with a bot you have done . . . nothing!

There are, however, sites dedicated to shutting down spam sites and the like. That is more useful.

With the Lads, this is "getting even": forcing them to waste time and money chasing their greed. This is why I loved being refer'd to this place: I spend a good weekend reading the completed baits. Criminals feeling pain.

Anyways, read the Stickies, get a mentor if you want to bait, and bait safe.

Welcome to the forums.

Two drink minimum. . . .

P.S. Oh . . . and another "bright idea" is to report the e-mails. Get those e-mail accounts closed! Seems obvious, but as reveal'd in the Stickies of Wisdom, it does not stop them, but it may ruin a successful bait. The only exception is Phone Lads.

Besides, spammers are barely one step above the lads in my book. And they get MONEY every time their mails get sent & read. So why on earth would I want to help *them,* by sending their mails to lads?
