You've guys have posted some great ones. Every year TBS has a special about commercials around the world and I love it.

The first time I came to the UK (1966) I saw a commercial for chocolates. It was a man on a James Bond-like mission to deliver a box of chocolates in a ladies cabin on board of a ship in a heavily guarded port. He had to climb over fences, ride on top of a truck etc. All very cloak and dagger. I can't remember what the chocolate brand name was but the commercial has made an everlasting impression on me.

Honda do the best ads in my book, there's the one in the OP, with all the cars, boats and bikes. They really took Mike Hailwood's TT winning bike out of their museum, and flew it to the Isle of Man to film it from a helicopter. The RA272 1965 F1 car was dragged out and driven round a track for the first time in years.

They did some good diesel ones with Garrison Kielder, and great cartoons, but my favourite is this one, Cog (2003). This was shot in one take, real time, no tricks. It took them 6 months, 600 takes and 3 MILLION GREAT BRITISH POUNDS as I recall. Music at the end is 'Rappers Delight' by the Sugar Hill gang. My favourite bit is the wipers, 'walking' across the floor. Smile

When the ad was shown to Honda executives, they liked it and commented on how amazing computer graphics have gotten. They fell off their chairs when they found out it was for real.

Probably the best advert IN THE WORLD, to borrow from a Carlsberg ad. AFIK it was never shown in the US, due to the cost of such a long slot, so if you haven't seen it you are in for a treat.

Don't get me started on Guiness ads, or we'll be here all day. There's one with 2 Irish Hockey (or is it hurling) teams that turn into Lord of the Rings style orcs and goblins, in the pouring rain, they only got Sir RidleyScott to make that one. Also a great one with waves turning into white horses, in itself a parody of a famous Old Spice ad.

Really liked some of the older guiness ones, especially the toucan ones.

Was quite fond of the new bunch they did for the Rugby World Cup, mainly becuase no matter how poorly England played, they still held on for the win. (something the footy squad could do with learning)

I've seen two that are absolutely great here in the US in the past few months.

I can't find video so far...but, an old slightly homeless looking guy with mismatched socks and untied shoes sits next to a skeptical looking woman on a bus and basically takes a script from our fake check lads, bad, redundant English and all. He says something like he's offering a great abundance of money if only she would just deposit the check (oversized and very wrinkled) , etc, etc...transact this transaction was used. Anyway, they are great.

There's another version of the same as well.

The message is basically that this is absurd in person so beware of it in email, etc.
