I poached one of the surplus scams for my first, which has a UK number, but i traced it to Nairobi (with the help of webmeister) and, to be honest, the english is less than perfect. Conveniently the confirming information has been sent to them, and they wish me to pay this:

They also want me to send "a scanned copy of either your driver's license or any form of legal identification" i smell fishes me thinks!

Is anyone here handy with photoshop? I only have one week to lead them on.

You can send them photoshopped ID, but you'll have to live with the knowledge that it will be used again and again to fool real victims. Even if you think it's mightily hilarious and that no one would ever fall for it, just remember that culturally-relevant references are not globally-relevant references.

In short... don't send them ID.

open a jpeg image in wordpad, remove random chunks of script, relabel it as passport scan jpeg, save and send, or a dll file relabelled as jpeg

Either way, as ^^^ above, never send any form of id, it'll be used to fool someone else.

Some ID is fine to send. This would be OK for example

as there's no way it could really be re-used by them an con a real victim

or this if you want to be more serious

No you don't. You have as long as you can string them along. The longer the better. You control them, NEVER the other way round.

As otter says never send anything that they could reuse on innocents.

I currently have 40+ live baits ongoing with Lotto Lads (that's what yours is) and I won't bother sending any form of ID, fill in any of their damned forms or supply any fake details, 'cause it won't make me laugh and it takes up my valuable time.

One rang today and said he'd give me a Dutch bank account and a Dutch telephone number. I can get the scammers account squished, and if he actually resides in the Netherlands - who knows. Evil or Very Mad

Another one today handed me a fake bank website and also a fake Lotto website - both up for extermination. If you have just one, it'll take more than a week to have fun with him and wring all the juice out of him.

To run a Lotto Lad (or any scammer) efficiently, remember that he doesn't want your ID or details, he wants your money, so put your foot down on his 'hurry up' pedal - which usually means get his attention by waving money under his nose. I do it with a simple 'Dolla Chop' modality saying I have already paid one instalment to a scammer and asking where I should pay the next one. They then forget ID and forms.

It isn't difficult - you just need to learn a few nifty tricks to make it easy for yourself.
