I bought an Xbox 360 today and I'm already glued to it. Credit Card took a hit, but I'll pay that off in a few weeks time.

I'm guessing that KD will cry because he'll miss me because I'll be absent for a few days while I get "use" to this new toy of mine Very Happy

To the gamers: No, I don't have xbox live.. Tis costs too much (?? yet you can buy an xbox 360, Radden?) and it's a b**** to cancel (I use to have it when I played my xbox constantly).. Maybe in the future.

Should have got a ps3 and pre-ordered Assasins creed.

If there is a top game of the console life it is assasins creed when it comes out, everything absolutely everything breaks or can be killed, and its just sooo damned big lol.

But as you got an XBOX get assassins creed when it comes out, if you only buy 1 game in your entire life make sure its called assasins creed.

Yeah do watch out for that red ring thing.
Happened to my sons Xbox when it was about 9 months old.
On the plus side Microsoft have a stategy in place to deal with it, you phone them up, they email a label for you to use, courier picks up machine, takes up to 3 weeks to fix then courier returns it.

I nearly freaked 1st time I went past my sons rooma and he was saying "look out to the left he's armed " " to the left " " Arrrgh "
He was talking to a pal several miles away via the box while playing some shoot em up game

Get yourself Call of Duty 4 mate, it�s bloody top notch. I�d be playing it right now if my 3D cards didn�t keep over-heating. Crying or Very sad

bahh haha.. I only have one problem with it (the tv screen goes berserk when I play a game, but the tv is older but still good)).. I blame the out-put of the 360, it demands too much from the TV.

That is why I stick to PC gaming. My home-built rig is stable and I can fix it on my own if anything goes wrong. Not to mention games are usually 10-20 cheaper. Very Happy

I also am waiting for Assasin's Creed for the PC.

I played call of duty and other army games on Xbox, they were really not my type of game.. I really don't know why, maybe the graphics were just sub-par to what I was expecting. Obviously with the 360 the graphics are going to shatter my fragile mind Surprised

. I'll read some reviews on it before buying another $60 game.

I saw the tv ad for CoD 4 last night.

@ Radden (+ all gamers here) My pc will play it easy but I have a wide screen tv that it will no doubt look amazing on.

I was thinking of treating myself a game console for Christmas and this game might just make it happen.

So which way do I jump, Xbox 360 or PS 3 ? Wink

Windy I always choose the system I buy by what games are available for it now and in the future. Personally I went with the Xbox 360 elite, elite for the hdmi output and 120GB HD. That is about the best advice I can give you.

Also don't knock the Wii out, it is a fun system to play and I am thinking of picking one up for a christmas present for myself.

For gaming, I lean towards my 360. PC games are ok, but it seems with every new game released, you need double the video memory you needed for the last big thing, and its quite frankly a pain to keep up with it. My PC is connected to my TV, and I use it mostly for HD movies/TV shows that are *ahem* legally acquired...

On my 360, if I buy a game for the 360, I know its 99.9% going to work (barring any disk faults etc), no need to upgrade components, just play the game out of the box with all the resulting happiness therein.

Oh, and I saw a trailer for CoD4 last night - I want! :drool:

That is an awesome game on the 360 mate - if you like RPG's then this is the one to get - (possibly) until Assassin's Creed comes out, at any rate.
