I think my biggest pet phobia is dentists. I can't stand them! Every time I go I have to be sedated...
What is everyone else scared of? |

Dentists aren't fun, I agree.
I don't know if I'd call it fear, but common house centipedes make me sick....and angry. The sight of them makes me have little to no regard for the surface they're on. I've smashed them AND the dry wall behind them.

Hmm, and I just had a dentist appt yesterday, but they seem to go smoothly for me. 
My worst fears were needles and heights, but I'm getting better at them both. I can at least watch needles when I need blood drawn now (due to working w/ chemicals that OSHA deemed necessary to monitor) and heights by going to the Top of The Rock when I went to New York this spring. |

I don't like spiders. I'm not afraid of them really, and don't mind them outside, but once they come into my house and build a web over my head and when I try to kill them they drop on me and I can't find where they are, I do freak out just a little bit. 
And without turning this discussion into something too deep, my biggest fear is of dying. Not because I fear death itself but because of leaving my two young children behind without me. I never had the fear until they were around and I had a breast lump scare. (I'm fine). Ever since then I periodically get very upset if I think about what my demise would mean for them. |

Where do I start?
1) Death. Because I didn't ask to be born.
2) My local football team never getting into the Premiership in my lifetime for the first time ever. I'm not holding my breath.
3) Everton finishing above Liverpool in the Premiership.
4) Never being able to make love to a beautiful woman ever again (see 1 above)
5) The next Spice Girls single. Oh bugger, too late!
6) Waking up next to Geri Halliwell and her telling me she's not really ginger and she wants my babies. (see 5 above)
7) Mods not liking me.
 Top hats...they scare me silly.
9) Slugs and snails.
10) Drowning. I can't swim.
11) Emoticons that suddenly appear of their own accord when you least expect it

So, why would anyone be afraid of Don or the other mods?
All you have to do is not necro threads, always use correct grammar and spelling, don't blow out the thread, don't requote an entire post before yours, don't ask about your IP, don't ask any questions that are already answered in the stickies, don't start a thread thanking them. . .

Overly friendly (NOTA BENE: *overly*) people are almost always compensating for something else and can be extremely dangerous to deal with, especially in group situations.

Used to be dogs, very big dogs and medium sized ones. But once I got a Dog, I was ok. Those child like dolls scare me as well and last a mild fear of needles. |

I mixed up two chat lads once and did not realize it before after 15 minutes when I was told that he was not a Nigerian, whilst I was still thinking "interesting! he has a shop and a baby brother just as well as my Ghana man has...." I was kind of a slow burner there.
Ah, yes: Lad calls that may go wrong in the way that things are mixed up or disbelieved...will surely come sooner or later... |

Spiders over a certain size - I just panic at the sight of them.
For a while after being bitten by a dog I was very nervous around them but I'm over that now. |

Being asked to cut up chicken or fish- eeew gives me the heeby jeebies. I have to leave the room when my son cooks his chicken curry and those rotisserie things in supermarkets gie me the boak.
