Useless junk found in the 99p store

Walking round my local branch - yanno getting me head outta code and such for a bit i found passport covers

Well there not useless they keep a passport nice and well covered well that is if they didnt have "PIMP" in big gold letters on one and "BITCH" in gold on the other.

Who in there right mind would actually give one of those to easyjet checkin lmao.

The quality too, proper junk.

im always being nagged by er indoors to tidy me cables so i saw a 3m cable tie box, great but wait open the box and you get 3m of tat, basically every few centimeteres is a defect, and it shows.

But its nice to walk into the hardware store 5 doors away and tell em they sell that for 99p down the road, the guy always gives a knowing nod when you buy a decent hammer and drivers lol

Nah but you get what i mean those 99p stores are ok but the stuff is just what you pay for a quick cheap temp solution.

But some is real junk, it has absolutely no real world use.

I just love going into my local Poundstretcher store and picking up the nearest thing to hand and asking the nearest assistant to hand how much it is. Sadly they always reply "Sir, that's the shopping basket and it's not for sale" Very Happy

I bought a l.e.d. torch in the local �1 shop; it has a clip on the side and can be pointed in any direction. It turned out to be so useful that I bought another as a spare.
I also found a laptop lock in there (one of those cabled with a loop and a lock. not sure how sturdy it would be but as a deterrent to a casual thief it's got to be better than nowt.

Mostly though, it's just tat.

I once didn't go a day without using my hammer, (as a carpenter you get that) and I only replaced it if / when it was stolen, I have never worn one out, but then the Estwing leather handle 24oz claw hammer is not 99p. Wink
