WTF is going on? They are building a stadium to hold 80,000 at a cost of nearly half a billion Great British Pounds. They then plan to knock 3/4 of it down after the games has finished and reduce the capacity to 25,000. It's a good job I'm currently not a taxpayer, otherwise I would be really upset.

As for London 2012...I cant think of many things recently that I've been less excited about. The games will probably generate whatever the stadium costs and more, though. |

If that is true that is the most ludicrous thing I have heard this week.
What a bloody waste... and hardly necessary. If the city has so many stadia that it does not require another 80,000 capacity ground then why build one in the first place? You have Wembley... so you don't need another Premier ground.
Either build a new one and keep it or don't bother at all  |
